Veteran's Day Race -2017
Boyertown Pa..
ECHORR held their annual Veteran’s Day Race on Sunday November 12, 2017 to honor our Veterans who fought for this country. Twenty racers made the trip to the country suburbs of Boyertown, PA. The racers present were from Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New Jersey making this a popular attended ECHORR event.
We would all like to thank Mark and Jody Williams for their fine hospitality and opening their home to the racers who attended this event.

On Sunday the racing started around 10 am and Super Stocks were first. Racing began on the twisty but smooth and fast Roving Road Course Wiz Track running a 3 minute round robin race. Bryan “ BK “ Kisthardt was first followed by Henry  “ The Champ “ Harnish taking second. Third place went to the track owner Randy Jay Haydt and Hiram Durant in Forth.

Next up were the Indy cars running on the six-lane 24 x 4 foot oval. The time on this was a 2 minute round robin race. Winning again was BK and taking second again was The Champ. Everyone was beginning to see a pattern developing ? Donny Auriema finished third and fourth went to Mark Williams the event host. Mark is a regular at Randy’s Raceway Tuesday Tyco racing and knows his way around any oval track.

After these two classes were finished we took a food break and once again Mark and Jody did very well on the eatables.

The last event of the day was Nostalgia and BK posted the Triple Crown honors by sections over Donny in second. The Champ finished third and Shane Hiester had a great run finishing forth. This was the best racing class of the day. One, two and three all on 48 laps. Four, five and six all on 47 laps. Seven, eight, nine, ten, and eleven all on 46 laps. Then two more on 45 and four more on 44 laps. Eight minutes of racing and four laps separate the top seventeen positions.

All the racing was fun and fast, there was some torrid competition and it made an exciting day for everyone. We had a few new racers attending to give some T Jet racing a try also thanks to the veteran racers who helped out the new racers with cars and controllers. Thank you to Mark and Jody for their support of Randy’s Raceway and EHCORR and welcoming us into their home and letting us race there for two days.

The results for all three classes is shown below.
